Postdoctoral Prize Research Fellow in Politics at Nuffield College, University of Oxford. Vicente Valentim earned his PhD at the European University Institute (Florence) in July 2021. He has been awarded the GESIS Klingemann Prize for best CSES scholarship and the EUI Linz-Rokkan Prize for best thesis in Political Sociology. Vicente Valentim studies how democracies generate norms against behavior associated with authoritarianism, and how these norms erode.
